Book Haul
This triangle with legs is a visual representation of me on my way home from the bookstore. I am a huge book nerd and am constantly adding more to my collection. This walk cycle was more challenging than the average one because of the double bounce. But it was absolutely necessary to do it this way to express more emotion..and if you play pretty much any song while watching this, it looks like this guy is groovin’ to whatever you’re listening to. I illustrated this in Procreate and animated it in After Effects, using Rubberhose for the legs.
World vs. Corona
I created this during the beginning of the pandemic to express my feelings about it all. In my animation, the world goes through 3 stages. First, obliviousness. Second, avoidance. And third, ass-kicking mode. And yes, it is covered with toilet paper because that was a thing. I illustrated this in Illustrator and animated it in After Effects, using Duik for the character rigging!
SK8BURGER
This dude is taking flipping patties to a whole new level. This is the first thing I made when I got my iPad. That amazing thing opened up a whole new world for me. Procreate is a game changer! I illustrated and animated this in that program.
Muffin Man
If you have ever been around a cat, you know that they are always “kneading dough.” I’m sure in their little heads, they think they look like this guy. This was made in Illustrator and animated in After Effects. This one involved quite a bit of path animation which is always fun because you can really get in there and manipulate things to look exactly how you want them to be. *chef’s kiss.*
For You
Here’s a closer look at my main man that lives on the top of my website. I wanted to create something that would sum up my art style and personality in the best way possible. I illustrated this in Procreate and animated it in After Effects. I loved playing with the textures and the low frame rate (gives it that homemade feel ooo yes).
